Hey Sass! I don't have a google account so I had to fill this out as anonymous, I think it's cool that I don't have to make a new account to comment, thank you for that. :o)
I met you at the gas station and bought The Coalition of the Supernatural. I loved the book! Thank you for signing it, and I'm looking forward to your book signing in June. I love the world, the characters and how realistic your stories are. I bought the last three books on your site and now I want them in paper back!!! I can't wait to see you again, I have so many questions!
I was going to ask these questions and more at the book signing, but I can't wait. lol I was wondering when the rest will be released and if we will see more of Hal and Gallagher? I love those barbarians!!! Are they based off your husband? Are Drew and Xavier your sons? And Who are Morgan and Catherine based off of?
First and foremost, it was a pleasure meeting you and everyone at the gas station! It was a day that I’ll never forget!
Every character I’ve created was inspired by someone I’ve met. Hal and Gallagher are my twin brothers Mark and Marty, and yes…there is much more of them to come!
My husband is in the series, and since you’ve read the first four books, you’ve met him. He is not a barbarian; I used his amazing qualities to create a more interesting character. I’m sorry but I cannot share who he is at this time, it is a guessing game that my family has been playing for a while now. LOL
Drew and Xavier are my boys. Andrew’s uniqueness inspired Drew and DJ’s inspired Xavier.
As for Catherine and Morgan…I cannot say who inspired those characters, however, I will say this. We all meet people in our lives that will (in one way or another) hurt you. It is unfortunate but true.
Morgan’s death was a form of closure to a painful time in my life. Stanford’s death was a painful experience that I felt needed to be shared, and as for Catherine…the real life Catherine is a man. LOL Oh! I should add that Catherine is not an ex, but a man whose actions inspired her character. As you read further into the series you will learn more about Catherine, and how her actions impact the world around her.
I guess you could say that writing was (and still is) a coping mechanism for me. It’s my twisted way of surviving this crazy world. :)
I’m looking forward to seeing you again at the book signing!
